Program Officers (POs) for federal funding agencies and private foundations play a key role in connecting your research to their institution’s broader goals. How do you foster a professional relationship with a program officer and effectively communicate the value of your research? Join us for this workshop in which we’ll cover the “how and why” of reaching out to a PO, whether you’re pitching a new project or refining a long-term goal. We’ll then apply this knowledge in a facilitated writing session to draft your initial communications with them. Attend and get ready for your next PO meeting or for the next time that OVPR hosts a PO campus visit.
OVPR's Investigator Skill-Building events are designed and reserved for campus faculty and research staff with PI status only. Non-PI staff and students, while ineligible to register, are welcome to view materials in OVPR's resource library.
